Rise of the Floodborn is Here!

On the heels of the red-hot release of Disney’s Lorcana with its first set, The First Chapter, Lorcana’s second set is ready to tear up the card scene. Featuring all-new characters and abilities spanning Disney’s entire property line, these are the cards you want to either sharpen your current decks or build entirely new ones.

After the debacle of the first set’s supply issues, we here at Kingwood Hobbies took a more measured approach to our sales of the new set. Instead of taking preorders based on what we asked for, we’ve waited until we know exactly what we’re getting before we accept any money. Rest assured that anything you order from us this time around is definitely going to ship to you. Lorcana is in stock and shipping as of Wednesday, 11/15. Get your orders in now to get them out the door quickly.

Here’s what we have for you.

The backbone of the game. Booster packs.
Jump straight to playing with Starter Decks.
The uber-anticipated D100 Collector’s Edition
The ever-popular Illumineer’s Trove.

New card sleeves featuring Mulan and Sisu.
New playmats featuring Winnie the Pooh and Beast.
New deck boxes featuring Mulan and Sisu.

Additional Information

Singles should be available this weekend. We just need some time to get them organized and listed for you.

I know pricing is a bit more than it was for the original launch, but that cannot be helped. For every regular player I was able to get the cards into the hands of to get started, ten more scalpers picked us clean so they could sell at a markup. I’ve tried bridging the two so that it’s expensive enough to make it not worth the scalpers’ time, but still less than what you would have to spend on the open market.

Lorcana Restock!

While there is no new word on booster pack restocks, I have managed to secure a cache of starter decks to get everyone playing! These were purchased considerably over even MSRP, so the price reflects that, but at least they’re here if you need something to get started playing.

I have all three starters available, both with and without boosters. If you’re unfamiliar with what that means, the normal starters that ship from the factory include the 60-card starter deck you can crack and immediately shuffle up and play. They also contain a single booster pack to show you what’s possible with the game, and to get your collection started. Since booster packs are hot gold right now, some people are selling the starter deck with just the deck and no included booster. I have a smaller amount of those, but they may be right for you if you’re looking for a lower-cost way of getting into the game. Whatever your needs, click the links below to pick up some Lorcana starter goodness today!

Lorcana Updates

We have a few new updates for you guys on our Lorcana cards.

  • We’ve found some stock of Starter Decks, albeit without the extra pack in them. These are listed in the Sealed Products section. If these are interesting to you, check them out quickly. Most of what has just been added is already gone.
  • Our Singles Section is now a fully functional search tool. Even if you’re not interested in picking up the cards, feel free to use the site to filter cards on every facet imaginable. Want to know which Steel cards from The First Chapter have a Lore of 2, Classification of Alien, and Cost of 3? You can now find all that and more in our Singles Section.

  • Finally, Common and Uncommon sets are live. Now, you can save a bit on filling out your collection quickly by picking up one of each common or uncommon all at once. Again, like everything else, supplies are extremely limited.

Lorcana Product Availability

As those of you interested in Disney’s Lorcana are aware, there have been significant issues obtaining product for the game now that it has launched. Our original allotment of products was snapped up instantly because of both availability and the fact that I insist on selling ours at MSRP rather than the tremendous markup seen on the secondary market.

In an attempt to help our customers play the game, I am continually working to find new sources of product. As I find new troves (get it!?) of product I will be listing them on the site. Where I am able to, I will continue listing products at MSRP, but, unfortunately, I am also having to pay well above what I normally pay to get some of this. In those instances, prices on our site will be marked up over MSRP a similar amount to what our normal markup is.

If you are not interested in purchasing a Lorcana product over MSRP, I completely understand. Hang tight, and we will get those back in stock as quickly as we can.

Also, we have started picking up individual cards to resell as well. We are currently ingesting those into our inventory system, so expect to see competitively priced Lorcana cards very soon.
