Welcome to Your Faltering Allegiances Set!

Thank you so much for choosing Kingwood Hobbies for your ARH printing needs. After Destiny was abandoned by its original producer, the Renewed Hope crew got together and refused to let it die. All of that is for naught if they don’t have the support of the global community who want to continue playing the game under new stewardship. It doesn’t matter how great the game continues to be if people aren’t playing it. That means you. This game exists for you, and I’m ecstatic that you’ve chosen Kingwood Hobbies to supply your Destiny needs. If there is anything wrong with your product, you need anything else for the game, or even just want to talk shop, please reach out to me directly. I am:

Before going further, please check the contents of your Faltering Allegiances set. We have very high standards for quality control, but mistakes do happen. You should have received two packages from us (because this stuff is really oddly shaped).

Package 1 – Stickers

A manila envelope with six sheets of stickers should have arrived for you. These sheets are labeled FA1/6 through FA 6/6. Sheets 1 through 5 contain 96 stickers each. Sheet 6 contains 78 stickers and a graphic showing how the dice faces are arranged.

*One note about the stickers. When you first put them on the dice they will have a tacky (sticky) feel to them. This is normal, and, honestly, a little annoying. That tacky feeling disappears over time, however, so you shouldn’t be bothered by it for long.

Package 2 – Cards and Blank Dice

A card box will also arrive with a shrink-wrapped brick of cards and a pile of dice. You should have 36 blue dice, 24 red dice, 31 yellow dice, and 2 gray dice for a total of 93 blank dice.

Dice Assembly

Your set came with a tool to help speed the assembly of your dice. The tool isn’t completely necessary, but you may find your dice quicker to assemble with it.

Destiny dice sides are affixed in a specific order. The sides as listed on the card are numbered from 1 (the top) to 6 (the bottom). The corresponding sticker sets are numbered left to right (1-6) or top to bottom (1-6), depending on the die.

Die sides are affixed in a specific order:

  1. Choose any side of an appropriately colored die. Affix the sticker for side 1 to that die with the die value/symbol box on the right side.
  2. Rotate the die to the left.
  3. Affix the sticker for side 2 to the new side with the die value/symbol box to the left.
  4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 for die sides 3 and 4.
  5. Rotate the die to the left once more so that you are looking at side 1 with the die value/symbol box on the right.
  6. Tilt the die towards you so that you are looking at the top blank face, and affix the sticker for side 5 with the die value/symbol box on the top edge.
  7. Rotate the die 180 degrees to the left or right to look at the final blank face, and affix the sticker for side 6 (usually a blank) with the die value/symbol box on the top edge.
  8. Repeat for all 93 dice.

If you would prefer a video tutorial for using either the 1-die sticker tool or the optional 36-dice sticker tool, I have them below.

*I am an idiot and did not do a thorough enough proofread on the credits card and there is a typo. Olivier de Ridder is not ‘Oliver’. My deepest apologies to one really cool guy.
